Well as of September 16, you can now pre-order Adobe Illustrator and the expected release date is October 21, 2020!

( Adobe Draw / Adobe Fresco didn’t cut it for me).Ī few months ago, an artist I follow on Instagram posted her previewing and playing with a beta version of Illustrator for iPad but all they could say for sure was that it was to be released sometime in 2020.

When I first got my iPad, I was a little surprised that Adobe hadn’t created a full version of Illustrator for iPad that would allow you to create and edit vector drawings already. Most of my illustrations are vector illustrations and even when I do use Procreate on my iPad I am usually using Adobe Illustrator to vectorize or redraw my illustrations afterward. Although I have both an iPad Pro and a Wacom Intuos Pro if I had to choose just one I would pick the Wacom Intuos Pro simply because of Adobe Illustrator for desktop.
